All trays are hand made using premium thick veg-tanned full-grain 8-10 oz leather. The process we use to manufacture the trays is known as wet molding. The resulting leather tray is stiff but slightly flexible and will retain its shape. We have developed our own proprietary molding process, so our trays do not have pinched corners or rivets.
All trays are dyed using an oil-based dye and finished with an acrylic topcoat. The backside of each tray is finished in either dark brown or black and a polymer topcoat is applied. This provides a smooth, furniture friendly tray. The dye and topcoats are applied with an airbrush to ensure a uniform finish.
NOTE:
Each piece of leather is unique. Slight marks, scratches, and color variations are different from piece to piece. There may also be slight color variations depending on the hide. This provides you with a true one-of-a-kind product.
